Dear Massage Therapy School Friend,
You might be reading this because you’ve already decided to attend massage therapy school - because you want to start a new career but you’re not sure what you want to do – or because you’re on a path of personal growth and transformation. Crystal Mountain is one of the oldest New Mexico massage therapy schools and we’ve been helping people like you meet needs just like these for more than 20 years.
I started at Crystal Mountain’s massage therapy school as the receptionist in 1996. I had recently moved to Albuquerque after leaving a stressful professional job in the Midwest and I wanted to work in a relaxed and nourishing environment. I loved working here so much that eventually I decided to attend Crystal Mountain School of Therapeutic Massage to become a massage therapist.
After I graduated from Crystal Mountain, I got a job in the massage field and left. Soon I realized how much I missed the school and returned once again to work as the administrator. In 2003 the school’s owner decided he was ready to move on to other endeavors and planned to close the school. I didn’t want to see such a valuable community resource – a place that had become my home - suddenly disappear.
So, I bought Crystal Mountain School of Therapeutic Massage and became the new director. With persistence and lots of great help from both inside and outside, the school came through the transition with flying colors. We have continued to thrive and grow, increasing enrollment, developing our curriculum, and expanding into a larger massage therapy school facility.
