Crystal Mountain appreciates the opportunity to introduce the broader community to our massage therapy school graduates and their services. To this end, we regularly feature one or two alumni in this location on our web site.

Lilia Gonzales, LMT #4315
Lilia became a massage therapy school graduate of Crystal Mountain in June 2002. She chose to enter the field of massage therapy because she wanted to help a family member who suffered from a chronic illness. Lilia decided to come to Crystal Mountain because she was attracted by the quality of the school and the techniques taught here. After becoming a massage therapy school graduate she pursued advanced training in cranio-sacral, visceral manipulation, and lymph drainage because of her desire to know more about the human body. She continues to pursue massage therapy as a profession because she loves her work and feels compassion for people who are suffering. She believes that we all have an amazing power to help other human beings with our hands. For her, massage is not only work, it is an art and a science. Her philosphy is that every human has the right to experience the power of human touch.

Once students become massage therapy school graduates from Crystal Mountain we hope they’ll stay in touch with the program because we want to keep abreast of how they’re doing and what they’re experiencing in terms of building their practices. One of the ways we keep our massage therapy school graduates up to date with each other and the school is by sending them a quarterly newsletter. The newsletter incudes news on what’s happening with the faculty, as well as news about other massage therapy school graduates, such as who is having a baby, moving, starting a new job, opening a new practice, or receiving new certifications or niche-specific training.
We also, invite all of our massage therapy school graduates to come back once a month to attend a supervision class offered for all Crystal Mountain alumni. This is an opportunity for massage therapy school graduates to meet with other alumni and discuss issues that are coming up in their practices, such as questions about marketing or taxes or how to handle particular treatment issues with clients. This is a free service for our massage therapy school graduates, because we want to continue to support them once they leave school. |

All Crystal Mountain massage therapy school graduates are welcome to participate in any of the community events that Crystal Mountain attends with student therapists. This is a great opportunity for massage therapy school graduates to hand out their business cards, and to create new relationships with people in the community as a way of marketing their private practices. We also maintain a list of massage therapy school graduates who are interested in participating in these types of events so we can refer organizations to these alumni when we have community requests for participation in events that the school is unable to attend.
