For centuries, massage therapists believed that the primary effects of bodywork were musculoskeletal. A more modern understanding suggests that the primary mechanisms of massage are managed by the Central Nervous System. This class will provide an over view of the mechanoreception components of the nervous system and an in depth discussion of touch from a neurological perspective. Join us as we explore the fascinating world of the “Brainskin.”
