Massage Therapy School Faculty Selection and Credentials PDF Print E-mail
Each Massage Therapy School Faculty Member at Crystal Mountain must be registered as a massage therapy instructor in the state of New Mexico. This means each Massage Therapy School Faculty Member needs to have:

  • practiced as a licensed massage therapist for at least two years;
  • had at least fifty hours of instructional experience under the supervision of a more experienced faculty member;
  • had some sort of instruction in teaching methods and principles; and
  • received further education every year, over and above the number of hours of continuing education required for license renewal

At Crystal Mountain each Massage Therapy School Faculty Member actually has at least five years of practice experience as a massage therapist, and some have twenty to thirty years of experience both practicing and teaching.  Each member of our massage therapy school faculty is also currently involved in their own private practice, implementing daily what they’re teaching, so they have first-hand, recent experience to share with their students.

Our Massage Therapy School Faculty Members are drawn to teach at Crystal Mountain because of our philosophy of education and our desire to help each student develop their own unique style of massage.  Most of our massage therapy school faculty attended Crystal Mountain so they’re very aware of the personal growth and development students experience while going through our program.  Those who didn’t attend Crystal Mountain are drawn to teach here because of our emphasis on working with the whole client and student, mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually - and because they value our service to the community.
